Are You A Sports Fan Or Sports Fanatic?

Sports Fan Or Sports Fanatic

I have come here to ask a very good question are you a sports fan or a sports fanatic? I have seen both definitions and dictionaries for fan to mean "an ardent fan or follower of a sport or sports team" with a fanatic meaning "a person with extreme enthusiasm or enthusiasm for a sport or sports team". The difference between a sports fan and a sports fan is a very fine line. I consider myself a fanatic, and I will give you my opinion on the fine line that separates a fan and a fanatic.

A sports fan will have a favourite team that they follow whenever they have time. Fans will get to know some facts or history about their favourite team. Fans will try to watch their favourite team when they have some free time and it fits into their schedule.

A sports fan eats, sleeps and breathes everything about sports. A sports fan can know every single fact or history detail about every sport. They know every rule, every player on the team and every information related to that team or game. A fan will do their best to go to every game of their favourite team and if they can't make it to the game, they will have a handheld device or smart phone that can access the latest news or updates on the game.

The main requirement for a non-sports fan is a huge obnoxious movie theatre-sized flat-screen TV that takes up half of their living room. It should have surround sound stereo speakers, so it feels exactly like sitting in a sports stadium. Living room furniture should include a large comfortable sofa, a few reclining chairs and foot rests. There should be enough seating for the fanatic to invite all his friends over for the "big" game.

The ultimate requirement of a sports fan is food. There has to be a lot of food so that it looks like they are tailgating in their kitchen. The game has lots of potato chips, dips, tortilla chips, pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs and much more. The most important are beverages that have a case of beer that will fit in the refrigerator or have their own personal small refrigerator that will hold beer and other beverages.

Sports fanatics will have more sports team gear and memorabilia than sports fans. A sports fan needs every little sports memorabilia of his favourite sports team, from a sports team jersey to a sports team spoon. Fanatics are also probably the ones who wear terrible sports team uniforms, and paint faces in stadiums.

These are my personal thoughts on the difference between a sports fan and a sports fanatic. If you have anything to add that I have left out, please feel free to give your opinion on the differences between the two. Thank you so much for taking a look at my article, and I'm like "Are you a sports fan or a sports fanatic?"
